    What is more important to successful weight loss.. exercising or eating healthy?
    I know both is important, but how much does each help? like % wise approximately.. so I can focus on what will give me better results.

    65% eating healthy
    35% working out

    because if you dont eat right, you will see absolutely no results when working out.

    it really depends on the results that you want. i work as a gym instructor and certain exercises will only be beneficial after you are at a suitable weight. for example, doing sit ups when your over weight will not show an major changes to your body.
    going on the treadmill and such will increase your fitness levels and can help you to loose weight in a gradual and sustainable way.
    certain diets can cause the body to retain fat and are often hard to keep up, but eating healthy is part of any good lifestyle and will supplement exercising.
    a combination of both – 50/50 is the best possible way to stay healthy and fit.

    They are both equally important. Think about it like building a house. You need A) good quality materials; and B) those materials used appropriately.

    If you eat good quality, organic food, you are using good lumber in your house. But if you are not exercising, you are constructing it with glue and duct-tape. If you exercise and do not eat right, your are being very careful in bolting together your house made of cardboard.

    Diet is more important in overall health, but both are equally important in weight loss. Unfortunately, most of us have been misinformed about what constitutes healthy eating.

    Do not worry about calories, carbs, fat, sugar, or any of that. All of those ideas were put forward by people who’s products just happened to have less of any of these categories, so they say "my product has less calories so it’s better". The correct way to judge food is: is it natural, is it fresh, is it local?

    Eat like the Asians and you will look like the Asians. They don’t eat "diet foods" they eat real food. Cooked vegetables are better than raw (not too much salad as that slows your metabolism). White rice is not bad and should be in the rotation of simple grains (more rice, less bread and pasta). Get a little bit of meat and NO dairy (it builds fat and is designed for infants).

    exercise helps you build muscle and muscle helps you burn fat. if you exercise but don’t eat right, you will only burn the fat you’re taking from the food, not your body fat. so you won’t be able to lose weight.
