i’ve been going to the gym 4 times a week conistantly and eating healthy since mid may 09. i just started going for an hour now because i want faster results.

ive lost 20 pounds since may 09. is that good?
also i cant tell ive lost? the scale and tape measure are the only ways i notice. everyone tells me i look good. is that just because i see myself eveyday so its hard to tell
?

    1.5 to 2 pounds of weight loss per week is really healthy. In the initial stages up to 3 pounds is okay due to water weight lost.

    Make sure though that going forward you are losing lean body mass or muscle. Since you are working out, you also need to eat enough to sustain healthy weight loss, otherwise you will not be able to continue your workouts.

    The best way is to measure your fat content and see if you are shedding fat every week..

    Theres more than 1 way to tell if you are losing weight. You might want to consider getting some bathroom scales with a fat monitor built in, so you can check your fat ratio. Another is to check the waist:hip ratio, and waist size. You can find more information on these here :
