I was morbidly obese at the age of 29. It could have killed me if I did not do something drastic, working out wasn't cutting it because I was always tired. Eating healthy wasn't doing anything for me because my stomach was so stretched I would over eat all the time. at 360 lbs I was a married mother of a 5 year old child and would go biking and walking and still just of the charts... I had to do something or I was going to die. My heart was getting weak I was borderline diabetic my cholesterol was through the roof and my weight was at a dangerous number for my bones to be able to support me, I had also become very very depressed with my life I could not become happy with myself or anything about my life I was miserable. You get to the point in your life where giving up seems like the better option..... So it is important to care if a person would like to continue to live on and watch their children grow up..

I solved this problem by seeing a specialist to help me.... I went through extensive live changing classes on how o live well. I then had a roux-n-y gastric bypass. A little over a year later I have since lost almost 170 Lbs gone from a size 26-28 to a size 8-12.... I have realized what crap I was being treated like from my husband who was abusive and gained confidence to divorce him. I recently went on my first roller coaster in 10 years! I do so much more with my daughter now and have so much good to look forward to in life! I have also become a EMT and am in the process of going to fireschool to become an interior firefighter because I am in the best shape I have been in in my life! I live with a 4oz stomach now and i could not be happier with myself... I have confidence and I am in great health... I can breath normal and I go running and workout in an extensive training program. I could never have done these things before... I will now get to live longer and watch my daughter grow up and i am a happier person doing all of this!

I hope this has helped :) good luck with your paper
References :
personal experience

its important to care for obesity because it affects you physically, mentally, and emotionally. People with obesity tempt to have more diseases and they tempt to have a low self-esteem. Also, some of them are always thinking that they are fat and that no one will like them.
References :
bc its unhealthy. it causes a lot of health problems for people like high blood pressure, risk of heat attacks, diabetes, etc.

also some people get so big they cant go out or move at all.
some cant have children bc their weight is so unhealthy.
and if you get big enough, you can die from all the problems you have.

not to mention obese people, if they do get to have children, most likely will have obese children and then those children have all the same problems.

the laziness is another problem, and if everyone starts to get that way we wont be able to do anything for ourselves. we will be even more dependent on technology to make everything easier for us.
References :
What do you mean "to care for?" You mean to provide free government assistance to fat people that are so fat that they can't walk? Or by "care for" do you mean those idiot enablers that keep bringing the fat lardos food all day even though they cant walk by themselves?

Or by "care for" do you mean take care of the problem and lose weight before you become a fat lardo and die from respiratory problems and heart attacks?

Or maybe you mean that there should be programs to try to prevent obesity and prevent people from becoming big fat lardos, like teaching them good eating habits and exercise routines when they are young, and counseling fat lards that are still fat, but aren't quite to the point that they can't walk by themselves?

So, be more specific and maybe someone can try to point you in the right direction.
References :
I did a research project like that once only it was the quickest way to help obese people to lose weight. I'm happy i can pass on my information. Obesity can pass through the genes when people have kids and can cause them to have the same obesity problem. It causes people organs (if they get big enough) to not work correctly. It can cause blood clots, heart failure, and many diseases can come from it. It's important to cure becasue it's passed on to later generations making them unhealthy and sick, likely to die sooner.
References :
I'm not obese but..

Obesity is a status symbol in society. Fat people are ridiculed and seen as lazy because they do not bother to care for their bodies and exercise/watch what they eat. It is also extremely unappealing to the eye to look at just because our natural beauty has been shaped by the media into the perfect model bodies.
References :
Why is it important to care for by who? To care for by people who are obese or people who aren't obese?

Anyway, people who aren't obese don't really need to care (as long as it's not someone you care for) just like there is no reason to care for someone who has a drinking or drug abuse problem unless it's someone you care.

People who are obese should obviously care about it because not only are they losing years from their life time, but will sooner or later run into all kinds of health problems starting with diabetes, high blood preasure, lack of energy and all that. Not to mention confidence, self esteem and all the other stuff.
