Being overweight, you're at risk for pre-eclampsia and gestational diabetes. I'm sure there are other things, but those are the main two I thought of. You generally get a gestational diabetes test at some point in your pregnancy. You drink a nasty sugar drink and they test your blood for it. I had the signs of pre-e with my second pregnancy because I was overweight from my first one.
