Other than the normal stuff like high blood pressure and stuff like that, what dangers does obesity have when you are pregnant? And is it more difficult to get pregnant if you are obese than when you are a "normal" weight?

Yes, its more difficult to get pregnant if you’re overweight. Being overweight, you’re at risk for pre-eclampsia and gestational diabetes. I’m sure there are other things, but those are the main two I thought of. You generally get a gestational diabetes test at some point in your pregnancy. You drink a nasty sugar drink and they test your blood for it. I had the signs of pre-e with my second pregnancy because I was overweight from my first one. (65lbs) Which is why I was induced.
