Then if they are a quitter…they are obese. You help to justify my view of how obese lies at fault on none other than the person and their actions, ty. They are doomed to a life of unhappiness because they chose it right? That’s what quitters do, they choose to give up. Therefore I have no sympathy for those who choose to drown themselves in sorrow, suck it up and hit the gym, don’t be a failure. When I was fat that’s all I was, a quitter who wanted sympathy from others, pathetic right?

@Shadow24569 “It just depends if you are a quitter or if you rise above” Thats my point. What happens to someone if they are a quitter? Must they be doomed to a life of unhappiness at the hands of others.

I would become highly motivated to prove him wrong. It just depends if you are a quitter or if you rise above from the comments and show everyone wat ur capable of :) This negative behavior is what is needed actually. Truth be told, I was once fat, I was constantly made fun of and the girl of my dreams didn’t even look at me, I lost the pounds, felt confident and now I have friends and my crush *gasp* finally noticed me! look at that! This is a true story. I realy thank those who made fun of me.

@dacrow972 so do many disabled people, poor people, sick people (like cancer patients) and ugly people. Lets go laugh at them, it will be heaps of fun.

@alexc475 You have exactly the right attitude.

@dacrow972 Its always easy to find someone doing worse than yourself. What is hard is looking at yourself and seeing what your own fault are and then try and tackle them. I think you will find this more rewarding in the long term. Be all you can be.

@Shadow24569 If you’re doing poorly at work and your boss tells you daily that you are stupid and a waste of time. Will you become highly motivated and work more or quit your job. This sort of negative behavior is counter productive so please stop trying to make people feel bad about themselves and lend a hand or leave them to it.

Yes they do look very funny. We should all make fun of the obese when possible. It can be used as motivation to those hippos so they can stop eating so much and start watching what goes in their vacuums (mouths) and they can also start walking more (no, walking from the couch to the kitchen and back does NOT count..)

Woahhh…. 1 in 100 people die during this operation?! … And it’s the most common operation performed for weight loss?? So then how many people exactly have these surgeons killed…? Maybe I’m just not that familiar with surgery stats, but I’m just shocked at how this operation is allowed to be done with such a high chance of death (and probably a much higher chance of ‘complications’).

@alexc475 (continued) You’ve risen above your social environment and rather than passively adapting to it and becoming the fat slob it would make of you if you let it, you’ve become the master of it.

    2010 Mar 21 13

@alexc475 Well congratulations. You’re one of the elite. And that’s exactly the point I was trying to make. Like every species on the planet, we adapt to our local environment and in our culture of TV, fast food, motorized transport and all that, it’s a local environment that one would fully expect to produce a society of pathetic lard asses. You on the other hand, have risen above your local environment and consciously made yourself what you want to be, at least in that particular respect.

One year from now he will be back eating those 99 cent burritos everyday from Taco Bell. What started happening to this country after 1965? Obesity, intense greed from big corporations (food industry), pharma, and the lobbyists on Capitol Hill, lack of any personal responsibility, big-headedness (the 1990′s saw super size me, enormous SUV’s, larger head sizes), and a booming US population that has doubled since 1950 (150 million to roughly 310 mllion today).

obesity is caused by lazy non caring parents/people who changed from 60 years ago. i blame fast food. compare 1950 to now. have u seen how many fast food restaurants there are? we have to get out and play more. theres more fastfood restaurants than the average family cooks at home.

@schofyproductions I see your point. But when children are young, this is where they learn most of their food habits. If you give them bad habit they’re going to follow this on throughout their adulthood too. Fair enough if parents have tried helping their child. But really it should have been seen to before these habits developed. As for ‘religious eating’ … Well. What can you do really?

    2:29 hersheys choco syrup?

  25. schofyproductions

    2010 Mar 22 25

@FrankFries07 yeah but you have to consider culture. some cultures communicate through food. while i agree with you that responsibility has to be taken, I also think that you can’t force parents to do anything. It’s their family after all, and who says that these parents don’t try? some obviously don’t but you can’t control family life. And sooner or later the burden of responsibility falls on the child, not the parents
