is there a difference…

i heard somewhere…sweating during exercise is an indication of weight loss…so is there a difference between sweat from sitting under a hot sun/hot weather….and sweating from exercise. ??

Your right, but there I’d no difference, sweating is an indication of water weight, hence the purpose of sweating is to cool someone down. If your looking for weight loss, have a personal trainer figure out your target heart rate and when you work out at that pace and it’s steady then you bening to see weight loss, also do it in spurts. Slow it down and then increase the spear, confusing the body puts u in better shape:).

Sweating is an indication of weight loss because you are working your muscles and burning fat. I don’t know about sitting under a hot sun and sweating though.

I’m not sure but random pointer:

I went to spain on holiday a couple of weeks back
And I eat unhealthier than I did before (I drank like loads of fizzy crap and eat McDonalds =])

it was like 47 degrees there soo you sweated a lot
And I lost about a stone there =] haha

all sweating is is your body cooling yourself down by evaporation.

You lose weight but only water weight, you don’t actually lose any fat.

when you sweat during exercise it isn’t the fat coming out of your pores. you body heats up (as it does in the sun) and sweats to try to cool itself down. sweating is sweating, and it necessarily doesn’t have to do with weight loss, you can sweat from being nervous or uncomfortable. to loss weight you must consume less calories than you burn so that your body uses the stored fat as food

A lot of your body is water so i think people think that by getting rid of some water (through sweating) you will lose weight.

Though if you start losing too much water you’ll feel thirsty anyway. It’s really bad for you if you sweat without drinking as your salt levels will be too high so exercising without drinking will be bad.

I don’t think there’s a difference, you just sweat to cool yourself down, you can get hot exercising or in hot weather i guess.

Sweating isn’t an indication of how healthy you are either, people sweat differently while exercising etc.
