Three years ago I weighed about 150 lbs and I was happy at that weight. Since then, I gained weight and now weigh about 220 lbs. I'd love to lose the 70 lbs and maybe even more. I'm in no hurry to lose it because I want to do it right. One of my concerns is that I don't want flabby skin. I see on tv people who lose weight and then have to have surgery to cut back the skin. How do I avoid flabby skin?

most ppl who have flabby skin is cuz they take weightloss pills or something .. they losse wieght to fast.. and the skin doesnt have time to stretch back …

I plan to go on a weight loss diet around 2500 calories because I weigh 280. However I plan to lift weights and use herbs to increase my testosterone levels so that I could build muscle. Will it be possible to gain muscle mass and lose fat this way.

Well, If you supposed to think to lose your fat, and build your muscle all you need to do are

1) Morning Exercise(must) or Morning walk.
2) Avoid eating spicy snack, In your diet must include healthy foods only vegetables,fruits
3) Every Morning Take a piece of lemon with water which help
you to reduce fat.
4) Every weekend you can spend your free time in swimming pool.
5) It will take time . Feel free.

If you follow all the steps,i can make sure you that you really reduce your fat within 1/2 months.

Can I do 5kg or more?

6 lbs. i think that's about 3 kg. you shouldn't lose more than 2 lbs a week, and i believe a kilo is 2.2 lbs. so about 1 kilo a week.

its time i lost some weight. in terms of my BMI i am alomost outwith the "obese" category. can i go to my local doctor and talk to them about weightloss or do i need to have something wrong with me to actually see them? i suppose my blood sugar levels are probabl;y too high so i could book an appointment in terms of that, but theres no point jumping to conclusions just yet.

You can, and should, make an appt. to see your Dr. about your weight. He/She will probably order fasting blood tests to check your blood sugar, cholesterol, and other levels of thyroid, etc. Then you'll be able to work on a plan for you to get heathier, which will probably include exercise. I urge you to call for an appt. today, don't take this lightly. BTW, I've been in your position, and now have lost over 100 lbs. Good luck!

I'm in my teens and I have a small amount of unwanted flab which I want to get rid of before summer. What sort of exercises would you say work fastest and most effectively towards weight loss?

Start the day off right. A nutritious breakfast will jump start your metabolism and give you energy to face the day ahead.

The key is to get active. Participate in team sports through school or community programs. Not for you? Try to walk, bike or rollerblade to school. How about jumping rope or even walking the dog? Helping around home such as vacuuming, washing the car can have aerobic benefits.

Drink lots of water. Avoid drinks high in calories and sugar like sodas, juices and other drinks out there.

One good tip in reducing your food intake, stop eating when you are already full. Walk away from the table.

As much as possible replace any "junk food" with fresh fruit and vegetables. Not only will you lose weight, you will also keep your heart and body healthy. Avoid quick fixes. Fad diets can deplete your body of calcium, Iron and other essential nutrients.

Just remember, when attempting to lose any weight, be sure you do it in the safest way possible. Before you know it, you will have met your goal before summer.


For anyone that says it doesn't work, i have lost just over a stone so far. Apart from that it has taught me about portion sizes and eating smaller meals through out the day. I can definitely say that it has changed the way i eat and i will never go back to the way i was eating before. I have previously tried weight watchers(3 times) and tried to eat healthy but always slipped back into my old routine. This is the first thing that worked for me.

I see alot of different stuff for circuit/split/ etc but which is best for women to burn fat?

It's awesome that you're even planning on using weight training to burn fat. So many people don't realize how crucial it is.

There is a lot to this, so I'll give you a little info, but more importantly I'll give you some links to good sites and discussion forums where you can read up on it yourself.

My personal opinion is Crossfit. You've probably not heard of it, most people haven't, but it is hands down the best workout I've ever done. it combines calisthenics, olympic lifting, basic gymnastics, and cardio. It totally kicks my butt every time! The idea of crossfit is to do the exercises as quickly as possible with as little rest as you can manage to keep your heart rate up. You should just check out the website and spend a few hours on there learning all about it. It really is the best.
